Can't find what you're looking for below? Our FAQ covers the questions we hear most about our game reviews, our game ratings and how submissions work — grouped so you can jump straight to what you need.

Process

About Our Reviews

Every title gets a minimum of 15 hours of hands-on play before a review goes live. Longer, systems-heavy games like RPGs and strategy titles routinely get 30 hours or more so we can speak to the full arc, not just the opening hours.

We test on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, plus handheld PCs like the Steam Deck where a title supports it. Every review lists exactly which platform and patch version was used, since performance can vary a lot between them.

Yes, but we label them clearly as early-access impressions rather than a final game rating. Once the game reaches a 1.0 release, we replay it and publish a full, scored review.

Scoring

About Our Ratings

A 10/10 means the game achieves what it set out to do with essentially no meaningful flaws — it's a rare score reserved for genuinely exceptional, genre-defining releases, not just "a very good game."

Yes. If major patches, balance changes or added content meaningfully change the experience, we revisit the review and update the score with a clear changelog note explaining what shifted and why.

A 10-point scale forces more deliberate, meaningful separation between scores. On a 100-point scale the difference between an 82 and an 85 is mostly noise — on ours, every full point is a real, defensible judgment call.

Submissions & Contact

Send us a message through our contact page with a build key or download link, your planned release date, and platforms. Our editorial team reviews submissions on a rolling basis.

We accept review copies to save time, but they never influence the score — receiving a free copy is disclosed on the review and has zero bearing on our editorial judgment.

Use the contact form and include a link to the review plus the specific detail that's wrong. We correct factual errors quickly and add a note if the fix changes the review's substance.
